EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment

EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. We participate in the rating yearly to prove our commitment to sustainability and to objectively monitor our performance.

The Responsible Care Commitment

We have been committed to the Responsible Care program for chemical distributors since 1994. The program helps the global chemical industry to operate safely and with care for future generations. We also regularly participate in the RC self-assessment. This allows us to see how we are doing compared to other companies.

ISO Management System

The Certified ISO 9001 and 14001 Management Systems work as a good backbone for our responsibility work. They provide us with tools to improve our operations continuously. Today the certificates cover 12 of our sites. Although some of our sites are not yet certified, we follow the same principles in all our operations.

FIBS Responsibility Network

FIBS (Finnish Business & Society) is the largest corporate responsibility network in the Nordic countries. Its key role is to bring companies and business stakeholders together to share best sustainability practices and solutions. We are a member of the FIBS Network through the Aspo Group.

The UN Global Compact

We acknowledge that our parent company Aspo Plc participates in the UN Global Compact, and we support the Ten Principles and advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals as well as broader UN goals. We consolidate our support for this initiative fully under our parent company’s commitment.

International Sustainability and Carbon Certification

The ISCC Plus certificate is granted for bio-based plastics. We were the first Finnish distributor to receive International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, the ISCC Plus certificate, in 2019. Since then, it has been renewed yearly.

European association of chemical distributors

Telko is a member of Fecc and is committed to the ethical and business principles of the association. Our CEO Mikko Pasanen is a Fecc board member.
