Telko earns EcoVadis Gold Medal again with improved sustainability score

Telko has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, one of the world's most recognized sustainability ratings. The renewed recognition places Telko among the top-performing companies assessed globally and reflects the company's continued progress in sustainability performance.

EcoVadis is a globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluating companies in four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The assessment is widely used by organizations across industries to evaluate sustainability performance and drive continuous improvement throughout their value chains.

In its latest assessment, Telko improved its overall EcoVadis score to 83 out of 100, up from 79 previously. The result places the company among the top 5% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis during the previous 12 months and among the top performers within its industry.

Sustainability is one of Telko's strategic priorities, and an integral part of how the company operates across its business and value chain. Over the years, Telko has systematically developed its approach to environmental responsibility, ethical business practices, responsible sourcing, and social sustainability. EcoVadis serves as an important external benchmark that helps the company evaluate its progress and identify opportunities for further development.

“We are proud to receive the EcoVadis Gold Medal once again and to see that our sustainability performance continues to improve. This achievement reflects the dedicated work of our employees across all countries and functions, as well as our long-term commitment to integrating sustainability into everything we do. Sustainability is essential for creating value for our customers, principals, employees, and society, and the EcoVadis assessment provides valuable guidance for our continuous improvement journey,” says Taru Uotila, Senior Vice President, Legal, and Sustainability at Telko.

The improved rating is the result of consistent development efforts throughout the organization. Maintaining a high sustainability rating requires close collaboration, transparent processes, and an ongoing commitment to strengthening performance in all areas covered by the assessment.

As sustainability requirements and stakeholder expectations continue to evolve, Telko remains committed to further improving its performance and supporting customers and partners in achieving their sustainability objectives. The renewed Gold Medal is an important milestone, but also an encouragement to continue the journey toward even higher standards of sustainability excellence.

“While we are pleased with this recognition, we see sustainability as a continuous journey rather than a destination. We will continue developing our operations, strengthening collaboration across our value chain, and seeking new ways to create positive impact through responsible business practices,” Uotila concludes.

For Telko, sustainability is not only about meeting today's expectations. It is about building long-term resilience, supporting customers' success, and contributing to a more sustainable future through responsible growth and business practices.
