New CEO for Telko Ltd

Kalle Kettunen (44), M.Sc., MBA, has been appointed new CEO of Telko Ltd, part of Aspo Group, from August 1, 2009. He will succeed Jari Ranne, who will not continue with the company.

Kalle Kettunen has previously worked in executive positions in the AkzoNobel Group. Most recently in the AkzoNobel Group, he worked as Marketing Manager for Pulp and Paper Europe, and as the CEO of Eka Chemicals Oy (part of the same Group), stationed in Sweden.

"Kalle Kettunen's solid international experience and performance were decisive in his selection as Telko's new CEO. Aspo intends to develop Telko into a stronger market leader and result-maker as an expert in and distributor of plastic and chemical raw materials in the Baltic Sea Region," says Aki Ojanen, CEO of Aspo Group.

Telko is the leading expert and distributor of industrial chemicals and plastic raw materials in the Baltic Sea region. It operates in Finland, the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Telko was created through merger of Aspokem and Kauko-Telko's industrial raw material operations at the beginning of May 2008.
